I worked at a major streaming service for nearly a decade. Vidmired started as a passion project born from a frustration of how hard it was to find great trending content across services.
How titles are ranked
Vidmired leverages public sources to create a single score based on title popularity as well as audience+critic perception. Titles are primarily ranked by popularity. Those that score especially well with both critics and audience receive a boost. But don't take the rank too seriously, it's just a mechanism to get you a shortlist.
Not every popular title makes the cut. Only titles released recently will get surfaced. The most popular titles that don't meet a critic and audience threshold are also excluded by design.
